Soria Walking Tour
Discover Soria: History, Culture & Folklore. Rise and fall of a frontier city.
Introduction
At Soriamuseum, we are a team of Art Historians certified as professional tour guides. Join us to explore Soria’s rich history while visiting its most iconic monuments, without missing out on its unique folklore and vibrant culinary scene. Together, we will discover why Soria has long been known as a warrior and mystic city.
Activity details
We will begin our walking tour at the Romanesque Church of Santo Domingo to learn about the city’s origins, this fascinating building, and the contemplative nuns who still reside here. From there, we will discover how Soria’s medieval government was run and we will unveil one of the city’s darkest events. We will also dive into local folklore, discovering the traditions of the summer solstice and Easter festivities. Finally, we will stroll through the city’s "green lung" and gather around the Tree of Music to land back into the 21st century.
